30 kWh package scope

What Is Included in the SOFAR 30 kWh Battery Package?

The previous public promotion did not name its hardware, usable capacity, backup configuration, installation scope or expiry. We do not show its previous “from” price as a current installed offer until those items are defined in a written proposal.

PDG

What the package quote must identify

Public promotion reference
30 kWh single-phase package figure only
Exact SOFAR models
Not published; listed in the written proposal
Nominal and usable capacity

Inverter and output power
Confirmed for the named configuration
Backup hardware and circuits
Included only when explicitly listed
STCs, installation and expiry
Eligibility, scope, exclusions and offer expiry shown in writing

The original promotion's “after eligible STCs” and “Adelaide standard install” wording is not enough to establish a complete installed system or a current price.

Capacity matched to the household

Is a 30 kWh SOFAR Battery Right for Your Home?

A larger battery may suit a high-use household, but the right capacity and inverter output come from solar generation, load timing, site design and outage expectations rather than a capacity target alone.

kWh is energy. kW is power.

Battery capacity in kWh indicates how much energy can be stored. Inverter and backup output in kW indicate how much electrical load can be supplied at one time. A 30 kWh battery does not mean 30 kW of simultaneous appliance power or automatic whole-home backup.

01

Higher evening use

Homes with sustained evening electricity demand may need more stored energy after solar generation falls.

02

Larger solar systems

A larger battery may be assessed where rooftop solar regularly produces energy that is not being used during the day.

03

EVs and electric loads

EV charging, pool equipment, heat pumps and other electrification plans affect battery capacity, inverter output and load-management design.

04

Longer outage priorities

More stored energy can support longer runtime for agreed loads, but backup duration still depends on the selected circuits and how much power they draw.

Solar and inverter planning

SOFAR Battery, Hybrid Inverter and Solar Compatibility

New solar and battery installations can be designed around one compatible equipment path. Existing solar upgrades require the current system to be checked before a battery or inverter recommendation is made.

New solar + battery

Plan generation, storage and output together.

For a new system, solar array size, hybrid inverter, battery modules, monitoring, backup requirements, cable route and switchboard work can be defined in one installation scope.

Existing solar upgrade

Check the equipment and site before choosing a path.

We assess the existing inverter make, model and age, solar capacity, production, monitoring, switchboard, installation space and available connection path. A SOFAR battery is not assumed compatible with every existing solar system.

Backup is not automatic

SOFAR Backup Power Options

The previous package promotion did not state that backup was included. SOFAR ESI data sheets list AC Backup output for named inverter models, but protected circuits, external hardware, switchboard work and actual outage coverage require a defined electrical design.

01

No backup selected

A battery may be configured for solar self-consumption and energy-use management without supplying any circuits during a blackout.

02

Selected circuits

Essential loads can be considered where the named inverter, backup arrangement, wiring, output and agreed loads support the required scope.

03

Output must match loads

For the official single-phase PowerAll references, ESI 5K-S1-A lists 5 kW AC Backup rated output and ESI 6K-S1 lists 6 kW. Neither figure is a whole-home promise without the final design.

Monitoring after handover

SOFARCloud Monitoring

SOFARCloud is an online monitoring platform for compatible systems. It can provide operating-status information, data analysis, yield views and fault alerts; the available data and connectivity depend on the final equipment and setup.

Solar

Generation

View solar production for a compatible monitored system.

Battery

Charge and discharge

Review battery operating information and stored-energy status where configured.

Home

Consumption

Understand household use where the installed metering provides consumption data.

Grid

Import and export

Review grid interaction and system history for the connected system.

Official SOFARCloud information. Remote access, alerts, displayed data and support arrangements are confirmed at handover.

Written package pricing

SOFAR Battery Price in Adelaide

The earlier “from” price is not displayed as a current offer because its equipment, usable capacity, backup scope, STC calculation, installation scope and expiry were not published.

Request a complete SOFAR package quote.

A valid installed price must state the exact battery and inverter model, nominal and usable capacity, inverter output, phase, backup inclusions, STC assumptions, standard-install inclusions and exclusions, and promotion expiry.

Request a written SOFAR ESI proposal.

  • Exact ESI or PowerAll model, BTS module count and stated and usable capacity
  • Single-phase or three-phase inverter, output power and monitoring equipment
  • Backup output, circuits, external equipment, load limits and exclusions
  • New or existing solar, switchboard work, cable route, access and network requirements
  • STC eligibility assumptions, calculations and party receiving the benefit
  • Availability, standard-install scope, exclusions and offer expiry date

Local project evidence

SOFAR Battery Installation in Adelaide

PDG Energy publishes customer projects only with a verified job record, approved image and homeowner permission.

Project record required

No verified SOFAR installation is available to publish yet.

The current PDG project library has no approved SOFAR installation photo or verified project record. The SOFAR promotional visual is not used as a local case study, and we do not invent a suburb, model, capacity, solar status or backup outcome.

When an approved project is available, this section will identify the Adelaide suburb, exact installed equipment, battery capacity, new or existing solar, backup scope and the design reason alongside the approved photo.

SOFAR FAQs

SOFAR ESI Battery Questions

We confirm the installed system in writing instead of relying on a capacity label or a broad promotion.

What is included in the SOFAR 30 kWh battery package?

The previous public promotion did not identify a battery model, inverter, module count, usable capacity, backup hardware, installation scope or expiry. Those items need to be listed in the written proposal before a package can be compared or accepted.

Does 30 kWh mean a SOFAR battery can run all my appliances?

No. kWh indicates stored energy. The inverter and backup output in kW, selected circuits, battery state, load size and electrical design determine what can run at one time during an outage.

Can a SOFAR battery provide backup power?

Only where backup is included in the defined system. The named SOFAR ESI inverter's AC Backup output, the supported circuits, external equipment, loads and wiring must be documented in the final design.

Can I add a SOFAR battery to existing solar?

Existing solar can be assessed, but compatibility is not automatic. We review the installed inverter, solar capacity, system age, production, monitoring, switchboard, installation space and viable connection path first.

Is SOFAR available for three-phase homes?

SOFAR Australia documents three-phase ESI hybrid inverter options. Whether a three-phase configuration suits a property depends on current supply, selected components, phase coverage, loads, backup requirements and final electrical design.

What can SOFARCloud show?

For compatible monitored systems, SOFARCloud can provide operating status, generation or yield views, data analysis and alerts. Household consumption and grid data depend on the installed metering and configuration.

How long is the SOFAR warranty?

Current Australian terms list a 10-year ESI inverter warranty. The BTS 5K battery warranty includes 10-year product and performance coverage, with a stated 70% of usable energy condition or 18.25 MWh minimum throughput, whichever occurs first. Terms and conditions apply; the final proposal identifies the applicable documents.
